Who We Are

DeWanda has 21 years of coaching experience in a multitude of different sports. She has spent most of her coaching career as a head girls basketball coach. She has also been an assistant coach for Track, Softball and Tennis. DeWanda played basketball at the college level for Blinn and UTEP. She continues her coaching career because she is passionate about the player's growth, not only as a player but also as a person. DeWanda believes that helping “mold a group of individuals to communicate, be responsible and hold themselves accountable is so rewarding.” She sees how coaching helps her be a better coach and mom and strives to help athletes be better players and people. She loves getting the opportunity to plant the seed and create a love for their sport.
